BAD SaNdY

BAD SaNdY the feminist crusader of Pop Culture
'The question isn't who's going to let me - It's who's going to stop me!'

BAD SaNdY is not just an art practice; it's an empowering narrative brought to life through mixed media pieces where BAD SaNdY, my alter ego, emerges as the central heroine. Rooted in a feminist ethos of resilience & empowerment, my artworks serve as a visual manifesto, celebrating the strength and complexities of contemporary womanhood.

In my pieces, BAD SaNdY is more than just a character; she's a symbol of defiance against societal norms and a champion of individuality. Her adventures and struggles mirror those of real-life women, resonating with viewers on a deeply personal level.

Inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of John Romita and Roy Lichtenstein, my art boasts bold lines, dynamic compositions, and a vivid colour palette. This aesthetic pays homage to the rich history of comic book art while infusing it with a contemporary twist.

BAD SaNdY draws influence from the vibrant street art scene of New York City, incorporating elements of urban culture and graffiti into the compositions. The use of stickers adds an interactive dimension to the work, inviting viewers to engage with and become a part of BAD SaNdY's world.

Ultimately, through BAD SaNdY I aim to challenge stereotypes, spark conversations and inspire others to embrace their inner strength and resilience. BAD SaNdY isn't just a character; she's a symbol of empowerment and a catalyst for change in a world that often seeks to confine and under value women.
